La Academia
En el año 2003 el Excelentísimo Ayuntamiento de El Puerto le concedió la Medalla de la Ciudad, premiando la labor realizada por la misma en pro de la cultura y el fomento de las Bellas Artes. Los portuenses nos sentimos herederos de un rico patrimonio cultural y social que estamos obligados a mantener y ampliar.

La Academia
La Academia de Bellas Artes Santa Cecilia y la ciudad de El Puerto de Santa María tienen una historia común y paralela. Pocas instituciones se han enraizado tanto en su ciudad como esta centenaria fundación. La Academia, lo iremos desgranando a través de esta escueta visión histórica, es parte de El Puerto y uno de sus símbolos más apreciados y característicos, porque, lejos de ser una organización elitista, surge para y por las gentes de este rincón de la Bahía gaditana, lo que la convertirá en la Institución más querida y respetada de la ciudad.
